Lab Services Guide
Lab Testing Process & Preparation
Everything you need to know before, during, and after your lab draw — including what's billed separately.
Lab testing is not included in any membership tier. Lab panels, ordering fees, and provider review fees are billed separately. Services are subject to individual eligibility and applicable legal requirements. Lab results must be interpreted by a licensed healthcare professional.
The Lab Testing Process
Select a Panel
Review the available lab panels in the Wellness Catalog or on the Labs page. Panels are organized by health focus area — metabolic health, hormones, thyroid, nutrition, and more. Your wellness coach can provide educational guidance on what different panels measure, but cannot recommend a specific panel as a medical decision.
Ordering Requirements
Lab tests must be ordered by a licensed healthcare provider. Where available through BioCoachCJ's independent provider network, a licensed professional will review your request and issue an order if appropriate. Lab testing services are billed separately from your membership and are subject to individual eligibility and applicable legal requirements.
Choose a Laboratory Location
Once an order is issued, you'll receive instructions for visiting a participating laboratory location. Most panels can be completed at a local patient service center. Bring your order confirmation and a valid photo ID. Some panels may require an appointment; others accept walk-ins.
Prepare for Your Draw
Preparation requirements vary by panel. Many metabolic and lipid panels require fasting for 8–12 hours before your blood draw. Hormone panels may have specific timing requirements. Review the preparation checklist below and follow any instructions provided with your order.
Results Delivery
Results are typically delivered to your secure patient portal within 1–5 business days of your draw, depending on the panel and laboratory. BioCoachCJ does not guarantee specific delivery timelines. Clinical interpretation of your results must be performed by a licensed healthcare professional.
Review & Next Steps
Once results are available, your licensed provider will review them and communicate any clinically significant findings. Your wellness coach can provide educational context about what different markers measure, but cannot interpret your personal results clinically.
